Time's Up
"1 in 3 women ages 18 to 34 have been sexually harassed at work. 71% of those women said they did not report it"
In the last two months we have seen an outpouring of support for survivors of sexual abuse. The #metoo movement and countless women and men who have come forward to speak about work place sexual abuse has caused change to take place. Three-hundred Hollywood women have used their platform to create Time's Up, a new initiative to eradicate workplace sexual harassment and abuse. Time's Up reaches beyond the movie industry to support women and men in all industries, specifically citing farming and low-wage positions. The movement will be led by Time's Up Legal Defense Fund to protect victims from retaliation upon coming forward. Additionally Time's Up focuses on increasing work place diversity, gaining equal wages, and changing policies that repress women and minorities.
